Hello, I am Clare. I am an actor, writer, director and acting coach. 
In fifteen years as a working actor, I've noticed how much the acting industry has worked against an actor's wellness and balance. Whether it is perpetuating negative hustle culture – or the ‘starving artist’ identity – Theatre and Film spaces have been rife with problematic practices. 

This has lead me to ask the question:

 

Can we build a sustainable career as an actor – while supporting our needs as a human?

I built The WholeHearted Actor to create a different sort of relationship to our careers. My goals is to offer high calibre, professional acting training that is Actor Driven and honors the person before the career.​ I use Trauma Informed and Consent Forward practices to tackle vulnerability, authenticity, and process. I train actors to help achieve consistent, grounded performances while also fortifying our mindsets for resilience in the industry.
