This course is designed to develop an actor's personal process through in-depth script analysis. This is a fully virtual, synchronous class where actors will work on scene work from film, tv, and theatre scripts. Drawing on techniques from Uta Hagen, Stanislavski, Stella Adler, and Michael Chekhov, actors will focus on a single script throughout the intensive. Actors will explore core concepts such as: objectives, tactics, given circumstances, imagery and personalization. Students will analyze the text, craft active choices, and use physical exploration to uncover where the script lives in the body and breath. Students will submit self-tapes of their scenes for feedback and review.

This class offers an in-depth exploration of self-taping technique. Each week, actors will self-tape an assigned script and then join a live Zoom session to review their work. Together, we'll discuss each self-tape, provide feedback on technical set up, and explore ways to deepen interpretation through bold choices and specificity. Actors will incorporate notes and adjustments into a re-tape of their scene the following week. Throughout the course, actors will work on 3 scenes and hone their ability to craft self-tapes that are grounded, specific, and believable. This class will utilize Film & TV scripts to assist actors in translating their theatrical tools into the on-camera medium.

* NOTE: this class is best suited towards intermediate actors who've had previous training / experience.

CANCELATION & EXCHANGE POLICY
CANCELATIONS:
Cancellations made 2 weeks before from the 1st day of the class will receive a full refund.
Cancellations made 1 week before of the beginning of classes will receive a 50% refund.
Cancellations made within 5 days or less of the start of the class will not be eligible for a refund.
Once classes have started, there are no make-ups, exchanges, or refunds for missed classes.
EXCHANGES:
If an actor needs to cancel/drop out of a class, and is willing to exchange their deposit for another class or private coaching package, we can grant that exchange if the request is made within the refund timeline. Exchanges and refunds are generally only approved when requested before the class start date, and will be granted based on class availability.
We try to make accommodations whenever possible, so some exceptions to the exchange policy may be granted on a case-by-case basis.
